The TI-36X is a well designed scientific calculator that is well suited for engineers, professionals, and students. The keypad on this calculator is acceptable and mapped well. In addition to scientific and statistical functions, this calculator includes support for Hex, Oct, and Bin bases and includes logical operators such as AND, XOR, NOT, etc. The only downside to this calculator is it's one line display which shows fewer characters than the more common multi-line displays seen on other models.

The TI-30XA is a classic scientific calculator that is easy to use and well designed. The placement of all the keys is logical and well thought through (probably our favorite keypad layout of the basic scientific calculators). The only downside to this calculator is the screen which is a bit small and limited to one line. Overall, this is a great calculator that should suit students and professionals alike.

We REALLY like this calculator. In our opinion, it's the best little scientific calculator on the market and is competitively priced. The "textbook" style input format allows you to enter fractions and expressions in their natural looking form. This calculator has a large 4-line display that is great for seeing a history of your calculations and works well in conjunction with the four-way scroll pad which allow you to see numbers that extend beyond the edge of the display. Our only gripe with this calculator is that the keypad keys have a considerable amount of "slop" that makes the quality of the calculator feel cheap. If you're in the market for an advanced scientific calculator with lots of features and a multi-line display then this calculator is for you.

The construction of this calculator is also top-notch and very durable. The screen is high resolution though not super high contrast. All these features aren't without a downside as the TI-Nspire series calculator has many menus and keys that might not be suitable for beginners or those just looking for the "basics." With those considerations aside, this is truly a remarkable calculator that packs a powerful punch. Buy this calculator if you're looking for lots of features "plus some."

The TI-Nspire with TI-84 Plus Keypad is one of the most advanced graphing calculators on the market. Its features and visualization capabilities set the standard for a new generation of calculators. This calculator includes two keypads - one for the full "Nspire" features and an additional "TI-84 mode" keypad. While this seems a bit odd to us, it does bode well for students that need a calculator that will take them through a progressive approach to learning math. By starting out with the TI-84 model keypad, and then later advancing to the full TI-Nspire keypad, the student is able to keep the same calculator without the need to upgrade. The construction of this calculator and high resolution display are also compelling reasons alone to choose this model over the competition. The keyboard provides nice tactile feedback, though the placement of the keys and decision to place the EE (engineering exponent) key at a secondary level, make for some frustrations. The display is very high resolution and has good contrast. Plotting features on this calculator are advanced, though plotting is a bit slower than we hoped. Like most graphing calculators, the TI Voyage 200 is programmable and is able to connect through an included USB cable for sharing or installing applications. We highly recommend this calculator for its advanced features and quality construction.
